Ye‘s startling revelation about having a sexual relationship with his male cousin as a kid opened a whole can of worms and has the polarizing Chicago rapper unraveling more thoughts about the effect of the situation.
Ye Opens Up About Childhood Sex Act
On Monday (April 21), Yeezy unceremoniously released the song “Cousins” on social media. The Dave Blunts-penned track finds Ye admitting that he performed fellatio on his cousin for years as a kid after getting them hooked on “dirty magazines.”
“Hanging with my cousin reading dirty magazines/We seen some ni**as kiss and we ain’t know what that sh*t mean,” Ye croons in Autotune. “Then we start reenacting everything that we had seen/That’s when I gave my cousin head, gave my cousin head/Gave my cousin head, I gave my cousin head/I gave my cousin head.”
Ye goes into more detail about the incident in the second verse. “And I know these ni**as ’bout to judge me now/Started off when we was hanging out (Started off when we hang),” he rhymes. “Told my cousin not to tell nobody (Please, no, don’t tell nobody)/People tell me take it to my grave/’Truth will set you free someday’/I don’t think they understand/That I’m not attracted to a man (They thought I was gay).”
In a follow-up tweet, Ye provided additional context. “This song is called COUSINS about my cousin that’s locked in jail for life for killing a pregnant lady a few years after I told him we wouldn’t ‘look at dirty magazines together’ anymore,” Ye wrote. “Perhaps in my self centered mess I felt it was my fault that I showed him those dirty magazines when he was 6 and then we acted out what we saw My dad had playboy magazines but the magazines I found in the top of my moms closet were different. My name is Ye and I sucked my cousins d**k till I was 14 Tweet sent.”
Dave Blunts writing the track has added another strange layer to the song. Ye claims he and Dave spoke on the phone for hours, culminating in Dave writing “Cousins” for Ye and many of the songs on Ye’s upcoming WW3 album.
“Yes I wrote this song and I’d do it again!!!!” Dave reacted on X to blacklash online. “I’m honored to have been able to help the goat share his story and his truth I gave my cousin heeeeeeeeaaaaddd.”
The admission has drawn mixed reviews online. With the limited information provided, some people believe Ye was a victim. Others are pointing out that Ye seems to be the abuser, while others think it was a mutal sexual exploration among kids.
Ferg reacted on X, “Good for kanyewest now you can be whole. When people start to act out you never know the root of the issue! Sending love brother your a goat.”

Boosie BadAzz also weighed in on the topic. “DAM KANYE,” Boosie posted. on X “I FEEL BAD FOR THIS DUDE THIS DUDE BEEN THREW SOME SH*T BRA. THE RANTS MAKE SINCE NOW. THIS MAN WAS SUCKING D**K AS A CHILD. SMH HIS MIND IS F**KED UP! I HATE HIM HAVING TO GO THROUGH THIS AS A CHILD! THIS MAN COMING FOR ANY N EVERYONE WITH A RAPTURE! Cam’ron addressed the viral news on the It Is What It Is podcast. Killa believes Ye is “conveniently gay.”
Ye has since unraveled more thoughts about his surprising admission.
“When Akademiks said Dave Blunts had better not have written the line ‘I gave my cousin head’. It really had me thinking It had me second guessing if I should have even put the song out or had ever said anything,” Ye tweeted on Thursday (April 23).
“You know who I was most self conscious about when releasing the cousin song is all the hood niggas I looked up to[.] Just felt like they wouldn’t understand,” he added.
Ye says some people were driven to tears after listening to the track.
Man it’s a few of my homeboys that I know cried when they heard this song,” he continued. “I got friends that really gotta take a lot of heat for being my friends[.] I mean Can you imagine[?] One day George Bush next it’s Taylor Swift next the Trump Hat next it’s Mental health next it’s Hitler now my boys gotta hear about the Cousin song.”
He also insisted he is not homosexual.
“You know who be the maddest at niggas thinking I’m gay GAY PEOPLE I be tryna use gay privilege without paying Gay dues Yo Ye … What are gay dues ??? I don’t know nigga I’m not Gay,” Ye tweeted.
Ye is currently in the full throes of his admitted porn addiction, which Ye revealed during a Zane Lowe interview in 2019, started when Ye was only 5 years old.
“Like for me Playboy was my gateway into full-on pornography addiction,” he explained in the interview. “My dad had a Playboy left out at age five and it’s affected almost every choice I made for the rest of my life. From age 5 ’till now having to kick the habit. And it just presents itself in the open like it’s okay and I stand up and say, no, it’s not okay.”
On top of consistantly posting XXX content and tweets on X, Ye is back promoting his once-shelved idea to start adult film studio. In addition to announcing the change of his new album to Cuck, he was also recently spotted shopping for sex toys in Spain with his wife, Bianca Censori.
Is this all an attempt at clout? Album promo? A cry for help? A man just out of his damn mind? One thing is for sure: he’s made us all voyeurs in the latest volume of the Ye show.
