Ye intends to sue his former dentist in an explosive malpractice lawsuit. The rapper claims the dental surgeon got him hooked on nitrous oxide resulting in crippling neurological damage.
Ye Sues Dentist for Malpractice
On Thursday (May 1), Ye’s legal team filed a Notice of Intent to Sue against California-based dentist Dr. Thomas P. Connelly. The document claims Ye became a customer of Connelly’s in 2024, during which Connelly performed oral surgery on Ye by installing a custom titanium crown. The following year, Connelly “engaged in numerous inappropriate and dangerous practices that were far outside the bounds of any legitimate medical purpose or standard of care,” the complaint reads.
These practices allegedly included excessive administration of nitrous oxide for non-medical purposes, permitting and encouraging unsupervised self-administration of anesthesia/gas, continuing treatment despite clear adverse neurological and behavioral signs and over-billing the rapper. Connelly is accused of charging $50,000 per month for the continuous supply of nitrous oxide and related services.
Ye claims he has suffered severe neurological damage due to his nitrous addiction, which has resulted in psychological and emotional trauma. The rapper also claims it has hurt him financially and harmed his marriage to Bianca Censori, who is named in the notice as intending to file the lawsuit against Connelly along with Ye.
Censori claims she has been “deprived of the companionship, support, services, and marital relationship of her husband during the period of his injury and recovery.” She also alleges she was witness to Ye’s physical and mental distress and deterioration, and had to “assume the burden of caring for him under extremely distressing circumstances.”
The injuries and damages to Ye listed out are neurological and physical injury, psychological and emotional trauma, chemical dependency and required treatment, financial harm and economic losses and loss of consortium.
Ye wants Connelly to turn over all the rapper’s medical and billing records, as well as communications regarding treatment and shipments of nitrous to Ye.
Connelly is also accused of trying to seize control of Ye’s Yeezy brand while the rapper was incapacitated with drugs allegedly administered by the dentist.

Ye’s Team Already Called Out This Dentist Before
This isn’t the first time Dr. Connelly has been called out by Ye’s team. Last August, Ye’s chief of staff, Milo Yiannopoulos, initially made the accusations that the dentist was doing malpractice.
“There is a reason Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, is no longer capable of successfully releasing music or clothing,” Milo tweeted. The entire rant can be seen below. “In fact, there are several reasons. But the most serious and the most recent is his dentist, Thomas Connelly…Connelly got Ye hooked on nitrous—laughing gas. It is my belief that Connelly sought to diminish Ye’s mental faculties so that Connelly and his business associates could extract millions of dollars from him.”
Milo went on to share a complaint he filed with the California Dental Board about Connelly’s alleged actions.
Connelly denied the claims in a statement to XXL. “Dr. Thomas P. Connelly categorically denies all the false allegations made by Milo Yiannopoulos in his affidavit,” the statement read. “Mr. Yiannopoulos, who has admitted in the same affidavit to being motivated by personal grievances, has presented a narrative that is not only factually incorrect but also intentionally misleading. Dr. Connelly has never engaged in any reckless, unethical, or illegal conduct, nor has he ever endangered the health and safety of any of his patients.”
Ye has since removed the titanium grill he had installed and replaced it with a diamond grill. It is unclear if the latest dental jewelry was put in by Dr. Connelly.
