The evidence keeps piling up: Despite numerous delays and false starts, A$AP Rocky’s Testing follow-up, Don’t Be Dumb, might really be released on January 16. The latest cut from the record is “Punk Rocky,” a song with an overdriven dream-pop riff and a video starring Winona Ryder as Rocky’s suburban neighbor. The rapper is credited with co-directing the video alongside Folkert Verdoorn and Simon Becks. Watch it below.
Ryder is a fitting addition to Don’t Be Dumb’s visual universe, given that her sometime collaborator Tim Burton designed the album cover art (and his sometime collaborator Danny Elfman contributed string arrangements, Rocky told Vanity Fair). Other previews of the album include the Jessica Pratt–featuring “Highjack” and a single called “Taylor Swif.” In the interim, Rocky released some songs for Highest 2 Lowest, the Spike Lee movie in which he stars alongside Denzel Washington. Back in September, Rocky and Rihanna welcomed their third child together.
