KISS fans were excited to learn that Gene Simmons is going on tour with his solo band in 2025, but one detail about the shows is throwing them off.
The 75-year-old rock and roll legend recently announced the “Ultimate Gene Simmons Experience,” which will cost one lucky guest $12,495 at each eligible show on top of the ticket price. The experience is described as an opportunity to be Simmons’ “personal assistant and band roadie for the day.”

Some fans of Simmons’ band, KISS, took to the comment section of a post about the offering on Reddit to share their reactions.
“It’s tempting, but I believe I’d be happier with my money,” wrote one fan.
A second was seemingly more upset and wrote, “This sounds like a miserable experience.”
A third was simply confused and asked, “I thought KISS promised they had retired last year?!?”
According to the musician’s website, the hefty fee covers a full-on experience as a member of the band’s crew, with a shirt and hat to match. Fans that purchase the package will get to meet Simmons, sit in during the band’s sound check, hang out backstage, and actually help the band set up for the show. The website also stated that Simmons will bring the fan out on stage during the show, and they will get to take home a bass that was played and signed by Simmons during rehearsal, among other small goodies.
KISS retired from touring and played their final show in December 2023 with a performance at Madison Square Garden in New York City, but fans can catch Simmons live this spring. The “God of Thunder” singer’s tour is set to kick off on April 3 at the House of Blues in Anaheim, California, and currently has 26 shows scheduled across the country.
