Some Lamb Of God fans were likely somewhat disappointed to discover that the band was in fact not performing in Spartanburg, South Carolina last week. The confusion was at the hands of StubHub, who’ve apologized for erroneously promoting a Christian Christmas concert as a concert by the heavy metal veterans.
The event scheduled for December 20 was actually called “Behold The Lamb Of God,” a concert by Christian songwriter and author Andrew Peterson, who’s apparently been touring his Christmas concept album of the same name for over two decades. He performed at Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium, and per local news outlets, the venue’s website and Ticketmaster both accurately listed tickets for the concert. StubHub, however, used an image of Lamb Of God, the band.
A spokesperson for StubHub told WSPA:
We acknowledge the listing for the December 20 event at Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium was misleading and apologize for the confusion this caused. Ahead of the show we updated the event page and reached out to customers to clarify the event details. Anyone who purchased tickets under the impression this was a different performance is encouraged to contact us—we’ll honor a full refund under our FanProtect Guarantee.
Lamb Of God are going on tour next year, but they don’t have any planned shows in South Carolina. They released the single “Parasocial Christ” last month and are expected to follow that up with a full album soon. We haven’t heard any album rumors for Andrew Peterson, though.
