With an eye towards blending many of dance music’s most notable artists with an incredible range LA’s local underground talent, Skyline’s East Side, West Side and Arts District stages did not disappoint.
Skyline again partnered with Grand Park, fueled by The Music Center (a 501(c)3 non-profit). “The Arts District Stage shows that the bigger companies have their eyes on what is next, and are willing to support it. It also shows that they are giving credit to those in the community who are leading the way forward and setting the stage for generations to come. What other way forward is there than to give a platform to those making a difference?” – Selective Response

“LA has an impressively strong and vibrant underground defined by its diversity, DIY culture, and a strong sense of community. Just like the city of LA is made up of many micro cities with their own distinct vibes, the underground is composed of different scenes that reflect the city’s eclecticness.” -Anna Morgan

“I think spaces like the Arts District Stage are really important for giving LA’s underground talent a bit of visibility and shine! The scene here doesn’t receive as much dance music media coverage as cities like New York or Berlin, and so a lot of the strong talent here flies relatively under the radar. I’m grateful for these opportunities that expose the gems in our scene to new and broader audiences.” -James Axon

“The underground electronic scene in LA is defined by its raw energy and how it flourishes within its limitations. LA is one of those places where the underground truly thrives because proper spaces are hard to come by, which makes every event feel that much more special. It’s a community-driven effort where everything is built from the ground up.” -Annika Wolfe
