Lately, the Manchester trio Shaking Hand have been cranking out long, winding, bleary post-rock tracks in the lead-up to their self-titled debut album. It’s dropping next week, and they’ve got another eight-minute journey out today to remind us. “Cable Ties” builds on the vibe they’ve been crafting with “Over The Coals” and “Mantras,” building slowly and assuredly toward its destination with lots of spindly riffs and rugged post-hardcore rhythms a la Slint and Sonic Youth.
