Rihanna’s sons RZA and Riot are already showing strong musical instincts as she debuts her role in *The Smurfs Movie* and prepares for baby number three.
Rihanna brought star power and maternal pride to the Los Angeles premiere of The Smurfs Movie, revealing that her two young sons with A$AP Rocky are already showing serious interest in music.
The Grammy-winning singer, who voices Smurfette and also produced original music for the animated film, opened up about her children’s growing passion for sound and rhythm.
“Both of them love music,” she told E! News. “It’s insane.”
Three-year-old RZA and 23-month-old Riot are already gravitating toward instruments and performance and Rihanna admitted she’s not sure which parent passed down the musical gene.
“I don’t know who they get it from more. I’m like, ‘Is that me or is that you, Rocky?’” she said.
The Anti singer added that Riot, in particular, has taken a liking to freestyling. “Riot, he likes to freestyle,” she said. “So, that’s definitely a Rocky thing.”
Rihanna, 37, is currently expecting her third child with the Harlem-born rapper. While promoting The Smurfs Movie, she shared that her decision to join the project was deeply personal.
As a longtime fan of the franchise, she wanted to create something meaningful for her children.
“I want them to have fun when they’re watching this,” she said. “I wanted to make something that they will go back to emotionally throughout their whole lives.”
She added, “I’ve carried the emotions of Smurfs — even from a little girl. I’ve always loved Smurfs. You never fall out of love with The Smurfs once you’re hooked.”
