Paz Lenchantin Announces Debut Solo Album, Shares Video for New Song “Hang Tough”: Watch


Pixies alum Paz Lenchantin has announced her debut solo album. Triste was mixed by Chris Coady and features contributions from drummer Josh Freese and guitarist Troy Van Leeuwen, with whom Lenchantin previously played in A Perfect Circle. It’s out October 17 via her own imprint, Hideous Human Records. Watch the self-directed video for lead single “Hang Tough” below.

Lechantin sang and played bass in Pixies from 2014 to 2024, filling the role originally occupied by Kim Deal. In addition to touring with the band, she worked on the albums Head Carrier, Beneath the Eyrie, and Doggerel. “I had to make this record on my own,” Lenchantin shared of Triste in a press statement, “not to prove anything, but just to have faith that music can nurture me back. And it did.”
