Patrick Mahomes is honoring his wife, Brittany, as the ultimate MVP!
On Thursday, Aug. 14, Patrick and Brittany, both 29, appeared in a teaser ESPN posted on Instagram for the newly released six-part docuseries The Kingdom. The Disney+ series focuses on the Kansas City Chiefs’ pursuit to win a third Super Bowl.
In the clip shared on social media, the quarterback reveals that the birth of their daughter, Golden Raye, didn’t clash with the time that any playoff games were being aired.
“Golden was born on January 12th, it worked out perfectly,” Patrick says in the teaser. “We got to bye week, which Brittany had told me that we needed to get from before the season,” referencing a week where the Chiefs had no games.

He went on to share that not only did the birth of Golden not interfere with a Chiefs’ game, it also didn’t affect his NFL viewing schedule.
“Brittany crushed it,” Patrick says. “I was watching playoff games the entire day. She went into labor after one game, the baby was here before the next game, so I didn’t even miss a playoff game.
“She is as locked in as I am as far as football goes,” he adds.
In the clip, Brittany is seen holding their baby daughter while the couple joke that Golden doesn’t smell like her diaper needs to be changed.
As the newborn had already eaten and was sleeping, the mom of three announces she is going to put her down while heading out with a sweet, “Love you!”
Before the birth of their daughter Golden, Patrick and Brittany were already parents to daughter Sterling Skye, 4, and son Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mahomes III, 2.

Brittany didn’t skip game day when the Chiefs went up against the Houston Texans at Arrowhead Stadium on Jan. 18, despite being just six days postpartum.
She paired a cream-colored Chiefs belted coat with Patrick’s no. 15 on the side pocket with red pants as she cheered the NFL star on from the sidelines.
A few days prior, Patrick had been asked during a press conference if they plan to expand their family further.
“I’m good with three for right now,” he responded, before adding, “We’ll see down the line, maybe.
“But my goal was always three,” Patrick concluded. “So we’ve had three. And we’ll stick there for a while and see if we need to come back and get another one later on.”
