Ozzy Osbourne’s Cause Of Death Revealed

Ozzy Osbourne died last month of a heart attack and was also suffering with coronary artery disease and Parkinson’s, per the rock legend’s death certificate. Osbourne passed away July 22 in London at the age of 76, just 17 days after completing his final live performances with Black Sabbath and his solo bamd.

According to published reports, the certificate says Osbourne died of “(a) out of hospital cardiac arrest (b) acute myocardial infarction (c) coronary artery disease and Parkinson’s disease with autonomic dysfunction (joint causes).”

On July 10, Osbourne announced an Oct. 7 release for his second memoirLast Rites, from Grand Central Publishing/Hachette Book Group. The book will include the artist’s thoughts on the July 5 Back to the Beginning concert, which raised a reported $200 million for charity and featured the first Black Sabbath set with its original lineup in 20 years. A Tania Alexander-directed documentary, No Escape From Now, is also in production and expected to be released this year.

“I’ve had one of the most amazing careers any artist can ever have,” Osbourne told SPIN in 2023. “I mean, I started in 1968 and I’ve worked at it since then. It’s just been fantastic. I’ll get awards left, right and center, but I don’t know what to do with them.”
