OutKast has been announced as one of the inductees into the 2025 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame class.
OutKast Is First-Ballot Hall of Famers
On Sunday (April 27), the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Foundation announced the 2025 Inductees. The class was revealed live by Ryan Seacrest on the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame episode of American Idol. OutKast has made the cut after being on the ballot for the first time. Other inductees include Bad Company, Chubby Checker, Joe Cocker, Cyndi Lauper, Soundgarden and The White Stripes.
Other acts who will receive awards at this year’s ceremony include Salt N Peppa, who will be honored with the Musical Influence award along with Warren Zevon. Thom Bell, Nicky Hopkins and Carol Kaye will be recognized with the Musical Excellence Award, while Lenny Waronker will be the sole recipient of the Ahmet Ertegun Award.
OutKast, Big Boi and Andre 3000, celebrated the news with a graphic they shared on the group’s X account. The clip is scored by the duo’s single “ATLiens” and features photos of the rappers along with the message “Thank you.”
The induction ceremony will be held in Los Angeles on Nov. 8, 2025, and will be live-streamed on Disney+.

OutKast will join a growing list of rappers who have been inducted into the Rock Hall. The list includes Jay-Z, Tupac Shakur, Eminem, Beastie Boys, N.W.A, The Notorious B.I.G. and others. Last year, A Tribe Called Quest were the latest rappers to be honored.
