Last year, prolific Philly underground shoegazers Nyxy Nyx released Cult Classics, Vol. 1, the first record that they ever recorded in a proper studio. It was one of Stereogum’s favorite shoegaze albums of 2025. Since then, they’ve gone back to quietly releasing lo-fi music. Last month, they dropped a self-titled record and a Midwife collab. Last night, they shared another new track.
Nyxy Nyx’s latest is a warm, gooey rocker called “Devil Hands.” It’s a supremely chill piece of music, but it has too much charisma to float off into space. “Devil Hands” isn’t on any streaming services right now, and you might want to cop the download while you can. In the Bandcamp description, the band writes, “felt cute, might delete later ;).” Listen below.
