New Band From AURORA & Chemical Brothers’ Tom Rowlands

Today Tom Rowlands of the Chemical Brothers and AURORA announced a new project called TOMORA. (See what they did there!) The two artists have been appearing on each other’s songs since 2019. AURORA provided vocals for several songs on 2019’s No Geography, and Rowlands produced some tracks for her 2024 album What Happened To The Heart? The news of the TOMORA partnership comes with the debut single “RING THE ALARM,” which shares no overlap with the ferocious Beyoncé anthem of the same name.

“RING THE ALARM” is a high-octane build of tinny pinging and AURORA’s urgent vocal swirls. Its unrelenting energy makes me want to run a 5K or pretend I’m in Tron. The track lives right at the edge, seesawing between euphoria and panic.

The duo shared a few words on the new collab and song: “We wanted TOMORA to be a band, not two individuals. It’s our musical feeling come to life.”
