Many musicians are using their platforms to speak up against the recent murder of Minneapolis resident Renee Nicole Good by ICE. That includes Neil Young, who is sharing op-eds on his website.
On Thursday (Jan. 8), the legendary musician made three posts about ICE, titled “Trump Wants Chaos On The Streets. Who Is ICE? What Qualifications Do They Have?,” “Another Day,” and “America Where Have We Gone?” The latter reads:
This morning an ICE officer shot a woman in the face 3 times for no reason in Minneapolis. These ICE people do not operate like police. They are thugs. poor ID. Covered faces. Is ICE the new American Thug police?
As well, Trump’s advisor Stephen Miller is now suggesting taking Greenland and other countries in the western hemisphere, like it was our right.
Previously, Racist moves like removing people of color and women from the military leadership leave no doubt that as a country we are moving backwards in time.
Is this what MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN means?
“Wake up people! Today The USA is a disaster,” the one titled “Another Day” reads. It continues:
Donald Trump is destroying America bit by bit with his staff of wannabes, people with no experience or talent, closet alcoholic wife beaters, inexperienced leaders who only know how to lie to keep favor with the Trump falseness so they can hold their unearned positions in his inept government, a Congress full of Republicans acting like idiots with no conscience…Yes. He has divided us. How did we elect these creeps who have no spine, no values, no conscience, no way to save the USA.
We need to take Trump at his word. Make America Great Again. It won’t be easy while he is trying to turn our cites into battlegrounds so he can cancel our elections with marshal law and escape all accountability.
Something has to change this. We know what to do. Rise up. Peacefully in millions. Too many innocent people are dying.
It’s ICE cold here in America. There was no ICE before Trump. No soldiers in the streets before Trump. Every move he makes is to build instability so he can stay in power.
He knows nothing about love. He does not know who you are. Use your love of life, your love of one another, your love of children, yours and theirs and ours.

Earlier this week he also shared a warning about Stephen Miller, the Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy, in a post titled “Watch Out For This Guy.”
Last week Young also quietly shared the first-ever recording of a Crazy Horse concert, from Feb. 25, 1970 at Cincinatti, OH’s Music Hall. The show, previously available as an inferior quality bootleg, included the live debuts of “Don’t Let It Bring You Down” and “Come On Baby Let’s Go Downtown.” It’s streaming exclusively at his website.
