Morrissey loves to cancel shows. This has always been true, but it’s especially true as of late. In September he canceled an Ottawa concert over a Bluesky threat, in October he axed a Turkey gig due to backlash over his support for Israel, in November he called off his South American tour because of “extreme exhaustion,” and in December he inexplicably canceled his first-ever Dominican Republic concert. Now, the former Smiths frontman is canceling two California shows.
Moz was supposed to play at Agua Caliente Casinos in Rancho Mirage tonight, but the venue website says it’s postponed indefinitely due to “an adverse reaction to a prescription medication.” He was also slated to perform at the Civic Theater in San Diego on Tuesday (Jan. 6), but the venue website says that’s canceled.
Currently Morrissey’s next show is scheduled for San Antonio, TX’s Boeing Center at Tech Port on Jan. 10, rescheduled from May 8. He hasn’t played the city in 15 years as his shows there in 2016 and 2017 were rescheduled then canceled. We’ll see…
