Megan Thee Stallion Rejects Tory Lanez’s New Evidence Claims

Megan Thee Stallion’s lawyer slammed Tory Lanez’s new website as a desperate attempt to mislead the public and reframe old evidence.

Megan Thee Stallion isn’t staying silent as Tory Lanez and his legal team attempt to reframe the night she was shot—this time through a website packed with video clips, police audio and claims of overlooked evidence.

Lanez’s team launched 36hourslater.com on Wednesday (May 29), claiming the site offers “full transparency” and presents new material that proves his innocence.

However, Megan’s attorney, Alex Spiro, dismissed the move as a recycled PR stunt.

“Tory Lanez’s team can’t keep a story straight,” Spiro said in a statement, per XXL. “Last week, they argued that Kelsey Harris shot Megan and now, they’re claiming that Megan only stepped on glass. They continue to rehash old evidence from trial and re-package it as new information to desperately sway public opinion. There was no new evidence displayed today simply a sad attempt from Tory’s team to copy our presentation format to peddle misinformation.”

The site showcases bodycam footage of Megan telling officers she “stepped on glass,” which Lanez’s team says casts doubt on the gunshot wound.

Megan previously stated that she lied to avoid escalating the situation with the police.

The site also leans heavily on testimony from Sean Kelly, the only independent eyewitness, who allegedly told officers he saw “the girls fighting” and claimed “it was a girl” who fired the weapon. Tory’s lawyers say that girl was Kelsey Harris, Megan’s former friend.

Additional statements from Lanez’s former bodyguard, JauQuan Smith, and another man named Bradlie James are also featured.

Smith says he broke up the altercation but didn’t see who fired the gun. James claims Harris admitted to firing three shots before Lanez stepped in.

Megan Thee Stallion’s Attorney Slams Congresswoman Over Tory Lanez Campaign

Spiro also took aim at Florida Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna, who has publicly supported Lanez and is now promoting the site.

“It’s embarrassing that Florida Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna is integrating herself into the California criminal justice system for click-bait,” Spiro added. “Instead, she should be focused on serving her own constituents in Florida rather than chasing celebrities.”

Lanez has maintained his innocence since the 2020 shooting. His team says the site is part of a broader effort to “shift public opinion” and support future appeals.
