Martha’s Vineyard’ Star Amir Lancaster Tearfully Says His Dog Baxter Died

Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard star Amir Lancaster is mourning the loss of his dog.

The TV personality, 28, shared on Instagram that his beloved dog, Baxter, has died.

The Bravo star posted an Instagram Story on Wednesday, April 23, explaining that he had to do “the hardest thing [he’s] ever had to do” on Tuesday, April 22.

Baxter was very sick and vomiting blood, Lancaster said. He called Baxter’s veterinarian, who recommended that he and his fiancée, Nicole Morales, put Baxter down so “he’s not in pain and suffering.”

Lancaster documented Baxter’s final moments, showing how he and Morales showered him with treats and love.

One of his Instagram Stories included the engaged couple feeding the dog a piece of lettuce. “We made sure he got all of his favorites,” he captioned the video of Baxter enjoying the veggie.

He added a sweet video of Baxter enjoying a scoop of peanut butter. The TV personality revealed that they treated Baxter to his “first ever” pup cup.

He concluded the Instagram Stories with a throwback photo alongside the dog. “My favorite,” he simply captioned the photo.

On April 23, Lancaster also published an Instagram carousel featuring several photos of himself posing with the pup, including one of Baxter as a puppy. The carousel included adorable videos of the cheerful dog giving Lancaster some love.

“I just know someone upstairs is being forced into belly rubs and constant eye contact!” he captioned the post.

Several of Lancaster’s castmates wrote condolence messages in his comment section. 

“I’m so sorry for your lost🙏🏾❤️ I’m sending you prayers ❤️❤️,” Bria Fleming wrote. “Sending you love, my friend,” Preston Mitchum commented.  Shanice Henderson added, “🙏🏽🙏🏽💕💕.”

“I’m so sorry Amir!!! Sending you so much love and know that he’s up there running around with Harry Potter Prescod,” Summer House star Gabby Prescod commented.
