Last November, Lana Del Rey announced that her new album would be titled The Right Person Will Stay and that it would be released May 21. Although she dropped a new single from it today (April 11) dubbed “Henry, come on,” she also announced on Instagram that the album has been retitled and that it presently has no street date.
A six-minute ballad flecked with strings, “Henry” was co-written by Del Ray with Luke Laird, with production from Drew Erickson. Longtime Del Rey collaborator Jack Antonoff also worked on the country-tinged upcoming album, as did Del Rey’s sister, Caroline “Chuck” Grant.

“I’m really happy it’s out there for you to hear. I don’t want to say it’s my favorite song, but I do really think it’s the song that the album hinges on,” Del Rey said of “Henry.” “I want you to hear the demo with the dry vocals, so you can sort of see how it started.”
Despite the newly murky timetable, today’s release makes good on Del Rey’s promise to reveal new material before her April 25 performance at the Stagecoach festival in Indio, Ca. “It’s not lost on me about how amazing it is that we got to headline Coachella last year and that we get to sing at the top of the night at Stagecoach on the smaller stage this year,” she enthused. “My band is so excited. I’m really excited, and I’m really happy for this album to be moving along.”
Del Rey further teased the arrival next week of another new song, “Blue Bird.”
Antonoff and Erickson previously lent a hand on Del Rey’s 2023 album Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd, while Laird has written and produced for such country stars as Kacey Musgraves, Eric Church and Tim McGraw.
Del Rey’s additional 2025 performances encompass stadiums in the U.K. and Ireland, beginning June 23 in Cardiff, Wales. Her only U.S. show at the moment is Aug. 3 at the Hinterland Festival in Saint Charles, Ia.
