Katharine McPhee delivered a wholesome message in a celebratory birthday post on Instagram.
The American Idol alum — who celebrated her 41st birthday on Tuesday, March 25 — posted a mirror selfie on her Stories the day before her birthday. In the photo, the singer can be seen wearing sunglasses and a red bikini with a message that read, “Getting older, loving myself, loving my body, and loving life! 20-year-old self had no idea.”

McPhee also shared a carousel of photos on Instagram for her 40th birthday in 2024. The images show the actress and her husband, David Foster, celebrating along with their friends. The snaps were shared with a caption that said, “It’s been such a magical week! Thank you all for all the birthday love. I guess turning 29 isn’t so bad 🤣🫶🏻✨.”
The singer-turned-actress met Foster, 75, in 2006 when he served as her mentor on the fifth season of American Idol. McPhee competed on the show, where she was the runner-up to the season’s winner, Taylor Hicks.
The two confirmed their relationship in 2018 and tied the knot in 2019. They welcomed their son, Rennie David in 2021. Foster also has five other children from previous relationships.
