Josh Duhamel Got ‘Very Lucky’ with Wife Audra Mari, Will Be with Her ‘Forever’ (Exclusive)

Josh Duhamel is lucky in love with Audra Mari!

In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, the actor, 52, who has partnered with CarGurus for the company’s new video series, The Big Deal Show, opens up about married life with the model, 31.

“I got very lucky,” Duhamel says. “I met an amazing woman, who just has all the things you look for in a woman.”

“She really is just amazing,” he adds. “She’s a great mom, she’s a great role model, … and I feel very lucky to have somebody that I get to share [life] with.”

Duhamel and Mari got married in September 2022 in Fargo, N.D., after roughly three years of dating.

A source told PEOPLE at the time that the nuptials were “lovely” and the Off the Grid star and his bride had “a great time.”

Mari later gave birth to the couple’s first baby — a son named Shepherd Lawrence — in January 2024. (Duhamel is also a dad to son Axl, 11, with ex Fergie.)

Looking to the future ahead, Duhamel tells PEOPLE, “I’m very much looking forward to our third wedding anniversary. I’m going to be with this girl forever.”

Duhamel recalled how his romance with Mari began while appearing as a guest on Live with Kelly and Mark in 2023.

The father of two said he slid into Mari’s DMs after she’d “won some pageants and stuff” in North Dakota.

“I invited her over to a BBQ one weekend, and she came, and I was like, ‘Wow, you’re beautiful,’ ” Duhamel said, then admitting he didn’t think a romance was in the cards due to the pair’s age difference.

“We started dating, and you know, here we are,” he continued, adding: “She’s a pretty amazing girl, she really is.”
