Jack Osbourne opened up about how his mom Sharon Osbourne has been doing since his father Ozzy Osbourne’s death in July at the age of 76.
In a GMA Cover Story on the Monday, Oct. 6 episode of Good Morning America, the media personality spoke about how his mom is “okay” but “not okay.”
“None of us expected it to be like this with that outpour of love,” said Jack, 39.

He then addressed how his mom, 72, has been doing since Ozzy’s death.
“When people have been asking me that question, I say she’s okay, but she’s not okay,” added Jack.
He noted that Sharon “feels the love” from the public.
“That has been such a level that none of us could ever really… You know, I think every child sits there and has this thought about one day their parents won’t be there, and what will that be like? It’s just a part of being human. We just didn’t think of it,” said Jack.
In September, the TV personality broke her silence about Ozzy’s death, reflecting on the support the family had received in a post on Instagram.

“I’m still having trouble finding the words to express how grateful I am for the overwhelming love and support you’ve shown on social media,” she said at the time. “Your comments, posts, and tributes have brought me more comfort than you know. None of it has gone unnoticed, in fact, it’s carried me through many nights.”
In a video on YouTube earlier that month, Jack recalled the moment that he learned about his father’s death.
“I woke up in Los Angeles to a knock on my house door at around 3:45 in the morning,” he said. “Someone who has worked for my family for probably 30 years was knocking on my door, and when I looked through my window and I saw it was him, I just knew something bad had happened. I was informed that my father had passed.”
Jack continued, “I wish he was still here. I wish he was still with us all, but he was having a rough go and I think people saw that at the show.”
Still, he noted that it came as a shock. “No one expected it to happen as quickly as it did and when it did,” said Jack.
