It’s been 17 years since Andy Butler’s disco-house project Hercules & Love Affair teamed up with ANOHNI for the classic single “Blind.” ANOHNI also made a bunch of appearances on the last Hercules & Love Affair album, 2022’s In Amber. Today, we’re getting another new H&LA track, as well as some news about an upcoming EP.
The new Hercules & Love Affair EP Someone Else Is Calling comes out next month, and it’s reportedly inspired by Andy Butler falling back in love with dance culture after getting into more interior sounds on In Amber. Butler co-produced the new EP’s title track with London rave veteran Quinn Whalley. It’s a rubbery club jam with vocals from the Icelandic singer Hips & Lips. Fun track!
