Sia, Hayley Williams, My Morning Jacket’s Jim Janes, Maggie Rogers and Thundercat have joined the lineup of performers for the Resonator Awards, which recognize artists, producers and engineers. The event will be held Jan. 27 at Chaplin Studios in Los Angeles and will be hosted by Fred Armisen.
Chappell Roan will receive the Harmonizer Award from Heart’s Nancy Wilson, while Cher/Sade/Tina Turner manager Roger Davies will accept the Transformer Award. Luminary Award winner Chaka Khan will be the subject of a live tribute featuring Williams, Rogers, Grace Bowers and Lalah Hathaway.
Previously announced honorees include St. Vincent, HAIM, Amy Allen, Gena Johnson, Jayda Love, Bella Blasko, Alissia, Elvira Anderfjärd and Luka Kloser, Roselilah and Betty Bennett. Olivia Rodrigo, the National’s Aaaron Dessner, Laufey, Anderson .Paak, Addison Rae and Jason Isbell will present.
The event is presented by We Are Moving the Needle, which was founded in 2021 by Grammy-winning engineer Emily Lazar. The organization works to empower women, trans and non-binary producers and engineers through scholarships, mentorship and equipment donations.
The Resonator Awards launched in 2024 by honoring Alanis Morissette, Corinne Bailey Rae, Caroline Polachek, Catherine Marks, Laura Sisk and Jennifer Decilveo, Michael Goldstone and Christine Thomas. Presenters included Shirley Manson, boygenius, Jack Antonoff, Ariel Rechtshaid and FLETCHER.
