Gavin Rossdale Makes Rare Comment About Marriage With Ex-Wife Gwen Stefani

Gavin Rossdale and Gwen Stefani got divorced around a decade ago, and he still remembers their marriage fondly.

The 59-year-old singer appeared on the Tuesday, March 18, episode of the Dinner’s on Me with Jesse Tyler Ferguson podcast, where he talked about his new cooking show — Dinner With Gavin Rossdale —  and how he remembers his marriage and divorce with Stefani, 55.

The podcast host revealed that he bought the house that Rossdale and his ex-wife lived in while they were together, which prompted the father of four to recall what it was like to make a home with his then-wife.

“Gwen did a beautiful job on the nursery,” he told listeners before he added, “That house has fantastic memories.” The “Glycerine” singer also noted, “We used to have amazing New Year’s Eve parties every year,” and explained, “We never knew what to do, so it was easier to make the party come to us. Fantastic times.”

Rossdale also added, “That was right at the height of everything really fun work-wise, it was really a great time for us. So I have a great memory of that house. Beautiful time.”

Later in the episode, Ferguson, 49, and Rossdale spoke about a mutual friend and 30 Rock star, Jack McBrayer, and his guest appearance in the musician’s upcoming cooking show. That is when the Grammy-nominated artist revealed that McBrayer actually lent him a hand with a number of things, including his divorce from Stefani.

“Since I got divorced and was raising the kids on my own, he’s come to every Christmas and Thanksgiving that I do with my kids,” Rossdale told the podcast host.

Rossdale and Stefani met while both their bands were on tour in 1995. The two got married in 2002 and share three sons: Kingston, 18, Zuma, 16, and Apollo, 11. The couple stayed together for 13 years before they split up in 2015.

The rocker is also father of a daughter, Daisy Lowe, 36, whom he shares with Pearl Lowe.
