Chad Spodick, one of the 13 men who vied for Robert Sepélveda Jr.’s heart on Finding Prince Charming nearly a decade ago, has died.
The news of his death, which was “sudden and heartbreaking,” was confirmed in a GoFundMe post created by a friend.
“Our hearts are shattered as we share the devastating news of the loss of our beautiful, kind, and generous son, brother and friend Chad,” Kate Werbowski wrote on the fundraising page, which was created to raise money for Spodick’s mother, Felice Harwood, to fund “funeral arrangements and ongoing living expenses.”
“We are still struggling to comprehend a world without his light,” she wrote.

“Chad was the type of person who poured himself into others. He lifted up his friends, encouraged everyone around him to grow, to advocate for themselves, and to believe in their own worth. His love for animals was unmatched — he cared deeply for every creature, especially his four beloved dogs and his bird, Cosmo,” Werbowski continued.
“The world was brighter with Chad in it, and those who were lucky enough to know him felt the warmth of his heart every day.”
His mother is faced “not only with unimaginable grief, but with the unexpected financial burden of funeral arrangements and ongoing living expenses,” so the fundraiser was organized to “support her and Chad’s animals during this incredibly painful time.”
Over $12,000 has been raised in Spodick’s memory on the fundraising page.

Spodick was best known for starring in Finding Prince Charming, the 2016 Logo reality series hosted by Lance Bass.
He quit the show after six weeks, and later accused the lead, Sepélveda, of trying to pursue him and other former contestants after the show ended, Just Jared reported at the time.
Friends and loved ones have been paying tribute to him in the comments section of his most recent Instagram post, shared on Nov. 21, with people describing him as “so kind” and a “pure soul with a huge heart.”
His niece also commented on the post and asked people to donate to the GoFundMe “to support our family.”
