The announcement cover photo showed a dazzling diamond ring on her finger as she held out her hand beside a floral arrangement. The picture that followed was an image of Schwimmer and the “Moonlight Matinee” singer, also 36, toasting to the milestone.
Their friends and family were thrilled to hear the news.
“All this time I thought you were cosplaying as best friends,” her brother, Benji Schwimmer, joked in the comments.
Schwimmer’s former Dancing with the Stars costar Cheryl Burke added, “OMG! Congratulations to the both of you! You deserve all of the love and happiness ❤️.”

The location tag for the engagement announcement was listed as Honolulu, Hawaii.
She reshared the post to her Instagram Stories, adding Moreno’s “Hawaiian Honey” as the song.
“Entering my wifey era,” Schwimmer captioned a follow-up Instagram carousel of herself and her fiancé on Thursday, March 28.
In the first picture, Moreno smiled as he placed one arm around her waist while the couple went for a swim. With his free hand, he held up the “aloha” hand gesture, known in Hawaiian culture as the “shaka.”
The pro dancer smiled while resting her hand on his chest, wearing a cheeky, hot pink bikini.
A second photo showed her standing alone in a pool, beaming while showing off her engagement ring.
“So happy for you both! You were always one of my favorites on DWTS. Your fiance is awesome in concert btw!” one of her many supporters commented.

During Schwimmer’s time on DWTS, she was paired with Cher’s son, Chaz Bono. At the time, the writer and musician, now 56, made history as the show’s first transgender contestant.
While speaking to Ryan Seacrest for an August 2011 appearance on his radio show, On Air with Ryan Seacrest, Bono opened up on what working with Lacey was like.
“We kind of instantly hit it off,” he said of his DWTS partner. “She has a great attitude for teaching me.”
