Police in Atlanta have arrested the Baddies reality show participant Demi Blanco for making a false 911 call in connection to the incident that resulted in Young Scooter‘s death.
Police Arrest 911 Caller
On Tuesday night (April 1), Blanco, real name Demetria Spence, was taken into custody and charged with transmitting a false public alarm. Police say she made an anonymous phone call on March 28 claiming that gunshots were fired and a naked and bloody woman was being pushed out of a home on William Nye Drive in Atlanta. She also included details about the house being used for drug distribution and prostitution.
When police arrived on the scene, Scooter and another man fled out of a backdoor. Scooter was later located by police officers suffering from an injury to his leg he sustained while jumping a fence. Police tried to render aid in the form of a tourniquet but Scooter succumbed after suffering fatal blood loss at a local hospital. It does not appear that the police discovered any crimes going on at the location.
Spence came forward on Instagram Live on Tuesday afternoon and admitted she was the one who made the phone call after police announced they were trying to identify her. Her story also changed from what she told 911 dispatchers. She now claims she was the woman being assaulted.
“I was physically abused. So, I called to protect myself,” she said. “I never had any intentions to get anybody hurt.”
XXL has reached out to the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office for comment.
On Tuesday, the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office released its autopsy results for Scooter, who died on his 39th birthday. They confirmed the police’s report that the rapper died after cutting himself and bleeding out while fleeing the police.
