Cam’ron Backs Shannon Sharpe & Blasts Million Rape Allegations

Cam’ron didn’t hold back while defending Shannon Sharpe in the wake of a $50 million rape lawsuit, calling the case a “shakedown” and casting doubt on the accuser’s credibility and intentions.

The Harlem rapper addressed the suit on his “It Is What It Is” podcast Wednesday (April 23).

“I been out here shaking and juggling these b###### since 20 years old,” he began. “I know when a b#### trying to bait me in the text message to say some dumb s###.”

The lawsuit, filed by a woman identified as Jane Doe, accuses the former NFL star and current sports commentator of raping her multiple times in October 2024 and January 2025 during what she described as a “rocky consensual relationship” that became “controlling” and “abusive.”

She is seeking $50 million in damages for “pain, suffering, emotional distress, and humiliation” and claims Sharpe shared non-consensual recordings with others.

Cam’ron questioned the logic behind the accuser’s actions, asking, “If somebody’s being abusive to you in one state, why would you move to the next state with the same n#### that’s abusing you?”

He also took aim at the age difference between Sharpe, 56, and the accuser, 20. “Unc, you gotta know what’s going on…” he joked, suggesting Sharpe should have been more cautious.

Sharpe has denied the allegations, calling the lawsuit a “shakedown” in an Instagram video and promising to “defend myself… this isn’t right.” His attorney, Lenny J. Davis, released explicit text messages that he says show “consensual role-playing” and called the case a “blatant and cynical attempt to extort millions.”

Cam’ron Questions Shannon Sharpe Accuser Seeking $50M

Cam’ron echoed that sentiment: “When you sue for $50, you don’t really want $50. You go for the high number so you can settle out for what you really want.”

Sharpe’s legal team reportedly offered a $10 million settlement, which the accuser declined.

Cam’ron acknowledged that part didn’t sit well with him. “That didn’t look good,” he said, but added, “I hope that Disney does keep him. I’m rooting for him because I do believe this is a shakedown.”

He concluded by referencing the audio recording and text messages released by Doe’s legal team: “But when you start getting the video evidence and audio evidence and text messages and this that and the third, that’s crazy.”

Sharpe plans to countersue Jane Doe and her lawyer, Tony Buzbee, for defamation, accusing them of spreading “lies and distortions.”
