Björk Is Readying A New Album

Since 2022’s Fossora, Björk has stayed busy. The avant-pop icon collaborated with Rosalía on “Oral” to protest Icelandic fish farming, narrated a documentary about fungi, hosted an immersive auditory experience in Paris, and released the Cornucopia concert film. Now, she’s readying her next album.

Today, Björk announced her exhibition alongside her close collaborator James Merry at the Icelandic Art Museum at the Art Festival in Reykjavík next year, opening May 30, 2026. The post mentions that it will have “new work based on music from her forthcoming album, currently in development.”

A statement from the Reykjavík Arts Festival (per Vísir.is) adds, “The first hall will feature a new installation with music that emerges from Björk’s upcoming album. This invites guests to explore the next chapter in the artist’s research, where transformation and collaboration are at the core.”

Björk also joined forces with Rosalía again last month for the Spanish superstar’s new record LUX. Björk also turned 60 on Nov. 21 and shared an update on “Oral” and its goal to protect nature.
