Billy Ray Cyrus and his daughters Miley and Noah Cyrus might not be on the best terms, but they still make him a proud father.
The “Achy Breaky Heart” singer shared a photo of Miley, 32, and Noah, 25, on Instagram on Tuesday, March 25, with a message in the caption.

“Holy s**t. I seldom ever swear in my posts, but this deserves one!” wrote the country singer before he revealed, “You are witnessing in real time what it feels like for a dad who, within less than one week’s time, has had his a** kicked and his mind blown by not one… but two of his own daughters @mileycyrus @noahcyrus.”
Cyrus continued his message to his daughters in the caption and wrote, “Flesh and blood… completely taking their art to a whole new level. Congratulations, girls! Well done. I’m so damn proud of both of you.” The singer also admitted, “I’m actually crying as I write this,” before he finished with, “Thank God you can’t see me. Have fun now and be happy! Love, Dad.”
The proud father’s teary-eyed post was shared just one week after Noah released her new song “Don’t Put It All on Me” and just one day after Miley announced a new album — titled Something Beautiful — which is set to be released on May 30.
Cyrus has seemingly had a rocky relationship with his family. His son, Trace Cyrus, 36, posted a note for his father on Instagram where he insinuated that Cyrus was struggling with substance abuse in January following the musician’s performance at Donald Trump’s Liberty Ball inauguration celebration.
“You may be upset with me for posting this but I really could care less at this point. Me and the girls have been genuinely worried about you for years but you’ve pushed all of us away,” wrote Trace in his message to his father. Despite never responding directly Cyrus shared a short on YouTube a with a message — which a number of fans believe was in reference to his son’s post — for his family in the caption that read, “Let this moment be the start of healing for us all. ‘The past does not equal the future.’ Amen.”
The father of six shares Miley, Braison, 30, and Noah with his ex-wife Tish Cyrus. Cyrus also adopted Tish’s children, Brandi, 37, and Trace during their 30-year marriage. He also shares a son named Christopher Cody, 32, with ex-girlfriend Kristin Luckey.
