Over the weekend, we learned that fast-rising Dijon will make his Saturday Night Live debut on the show’s next episode, serving as musical guest while old favorite Melissa McCarthy hosts for the second time. Today, SNL announced the hosts and musical guests for the last two episodes of the year, and they’ll feature some big names.
Lily Allen just released West End Girl, a brutal breakup album that sure seems to be about the end of her marriage with David Harbour, a guy who hosted SNL once in 2019. Allen was a musical guest once, way back in 2007. She’ll make her big return on the Dec. 13 show, with debuting host Josh O’Connor, who will be in the new Knives Out movie around that time.
Big-deal pop star Ariana Grade will host the final 2025 SNL episode Dec. 20. It’ll be her third time hosting. Since she’s making Wicked movies these days, she’s not doing the double-duty thing anymore. The last time Grande hosted was in 2024, and that was the episode with the first Domingo sketch. On that show, Grande got Stevie Nicks as her musical guest. On the next episode, they’re bringing in another icon: Cher, who performed at the SNL 50 concert but who hasn’t been a musical guest since 1987. Also, Cher has never hosted? Let Cher host SNL! She’s done everything else!
