Alix Earle’s Stepmom Claps Back at Cheryl Burke Over Low DWTS Score

Alix Earle’s stepmom, Ashley Dupré, came to her defense when she didn’t receive a perfect score on Dancing With the Stars.

Dupré, 40, took to TikTok on Tuesday, October 28, to share her reaction to the scores for Earle and pro Val Chmerkovskiy’s tango to Billie Eilish’s “Bury a Friend” on the show’s Halloween Night. After the performance, judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Derek Hough each gave the influencer, 24, a 10, but guest judge Cheryl Burke gave her a 9.

“Oh, go take more Ozempic,” Dupré said while Burke, 41, held up a “9” paddle. She and her kids laughed in the background.

“Go take more Ozempic?” one of her little ones questioned.

Real Housewives such as Kyle Richards have addressed whether they used diabetes medication Ozempic for weight loss. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star sparked speculation about using the drug after she debuted her slimmed-down figure in January 2023 via a bikini selfie. Richards then opened up about how her decision to cut back on alcohol […]

Dupré replied, “What? She looks weird. Doesn’t even look like her.”

She then cheered as the other judges gave Earle a 10.

“INSANE!!!! So proud of you!!!! @Alix Earle @Val,” Dupré captioned the post as her fans laughed along with her in the comments section.

“Go take more Ozempic IM CRYINGG,” one wrote, while a second added, “CHERYL RUINED IT!!!!! 🙃🙃 she deserved all 10s for it.” A third commented, “I’m peeing at the Ozempic comment.”

Despite fan speculation about her appearance, Burke exclusively told Us Weekly in August that she’s never even considered taking the weight loss medication.

“There’s just no way, I faint at the sight of needles,” she said. “And I’ve heard of side effects, people not feeling well, certain things that happen that are too gross to share. I’m not willing to feel like that. I changed my eating habits. I stopped eating past 7 p.m. and it changed my whole body. It wasn’t so much about a number on the scale as it was about how I feel.”

Burke also told Us that she weighed around 145 pounds at the start of her weight loss journey, with her “heaviest” weight being 150. She now weighs 109 pounds.

“I don’t weigh myself daily anymore because it was a problem,” she admitted. “The last time I checked, I was 109. I feel f***ing great; my energy is on another level. That 109 doesn’t matter, what matters is how I feel.”

Ozempic has become a hot topic when it comes to weight loss — with some stars confirming they have used the drug while others denied it. “When I look in the mirror, especially during my fittings, let’s say for a dance costume, I’m not seeing what everyone else is,” she explained. “I’m seeing somebody who most likely is heavier. If I was in a dress showing my back and I saw a roll, it would ruin my day. I was an angry person when I didn’t feel good.”

The former Dancing With the Stars pro works out by walking her dog “a couple of miles a day” and gets more cardio in on the treadmill while multitasking. “I actually can only edit [beauty influencer] content on a treadmill,” she explained. “It’s the craziest.”
