Krispy Kreme Brings Back Strawberry Iced Donut for Easter — and Introduces 3 New Bunny Treats!

Krispy Kreme is celebrating Easter with a brand-new collection of bunny-themed treats — and by bringing back a fan-favorite item.

On Monday, April 7, the doughnut chain announced in a press release that they were getting ready for Easter by adding four new items to the menu, including the Strawberry Iced Doughnut with Sprinkles.

The strawberry treat has been on the menu in past years, and will feature Krispy Kreme’s original glazed doughnut dipped in strawberry flavored icing and pastel sprinkles.

Also included in this year’s “Hoppy Easter Collection” are three items featuring bunnies, including the Bunny Basket Doughnut, which is another glazed doughnut dipped in chocolate icing, decorated with chocolate flavored buttercream, and topped with a confectionery bunny.

The trio also includes the Marshmallow Bunny Doughnut — an unglazed shell doughnut filled with marshmallow flavored Kreme, dipped in pastel yellow icing and topped with a bunny face and confectionery ears — as well as the Bouncing Bunny Doughnut — a glazed doughnut dipped in pastel blue icing and sprinkles, and topped with a “bouncing bunny.”

As Krispy Kreme puts it in the press release, the Easter menu will feature something delicious for “everybunny.”

For the holiday season, the chain will also be packaging doughnuts in a custom Easter dozens box beginning on Wednesday for a limited time at participating Krispy Kreme shops.

Just last month, Krispy Kreme also announced another collection of limited-time treats as a part of its annual Chocomania celebrations.

The doughnut shop’s yearly chocolate celebration saw the return of Hershey’s Classic Chocolate Doughnut — and three totally new special doughnuts. The four chocolate doughnuts became available at Krispy Kreme on March 19.

Four total doughnuts comprise the collection, including the Hershey’s Hershey’s Classic Chocolate Doughnut, the Chocolate Salted Caramel Cheesecake Doughnut, the Chocolate Buttercreme Doughnut and the Chocolate Chip Cookie Doughnut.

As of now, the chain’s Hoppy Easter Collection is available in-shop and for pickup or delivery via Krispy Kreme’s app and website, individually and by the dozen.

The themed doughnuts will also be available in a Krispy Kreme six-count box, delivered fresh daily to select retailers. Participating shops and retailers can be found at krispykreme.com/locate/location-search#grocery.
