Post Malone, Jelly Roll Reprising ‘Big’ Stadium Tour

Hours after they both came up big on the Grammys stage, Post Malone and Jelly Roll have confirmed an extension of their BIG ASS Stadium Tour, which played to more than a million fans and grossed $170 million last summer. The tour will resume May 13 in El Paso, Texas, and has dates on the books through July 28 in Salt Lake City.

Rising country star Carter Faith will open all shows, tickets for which go on sale Feb. 10 to the general public. The BIG ASS tour will also intersect with a number of festivals, including Stagecoach on the Coachella grounds in late April, Carolina Country Fest in Myrtle Beach, S.C., and the Barefoot Country Music Festival in Wildwood, N.J.

On Feb. 1 at the Grammys in Los Angeles, Jelly Roll won three honors, led by Best Contemporary Country Album for Beautifully Broken. He gave an impassioned speech at the podium, stressing how music and the Bible helped him endure several jail sentences on drug and robbery charges. “There was a time in my life that I was broken. That’s why I wrote this album,” he said. “I didn’t think I had a chance. There was days that I thought the darkest things.”

As for Malone, he paid tribute to the late Ozzy Osbourne with a performance of Black Sabbath’s “War Pigs” backed by guitarist Andrew Watt, Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash and bassist Duff McKagan and Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith.
