Dunkin’ Releases New Valentine’s Day Drinks Inspired by “Toxic” Exes

Dunkin’ has some sweets for you and your sweetheart.

The coffeehouse chain’s Valentine’s Day menu with new and returning items is rolling out on Wednesday, Jan. 28.

Fans will recognize some of the festive food items, like the heart-shaped doughnuts and pink, red and white-sprinkled Munchkins.

The customer-favorite Brownie Batter Classic Donut, filled with brownie batter-flavored buttercream and decorated with chocolate icing, and Cupid’s Choice Classic Donut, which has Bavarian Kreme inside and strawberry icing on top, are back. But these aren’t the only V-Day inspired doughnuts—all filled doughnuts will be heart-shaped for the holiday season.

This year, customers can get their doughnut holes in special Valentine’s Day Munchkins Tins. Each metal tin, decorated with the message “Sweet On U,” “Just Bcuz” and “Ur A Treat,” holds 25 Munchkins.

There are a handful of new sippable additions to the Valentine’s Day menu. Three drinks start with Dunkin’s Strawberry Dragonfruit Refresher: the Heart Eyes Daydream Refresher, Chocolate Covered Strawberry Daydream Refresher and Blush Spritz Refresher. The Heart Eyes Daydream Refresher adds blueberry flavor, oatmilk and Sweet Cream Cold Foam and Chocolate Covered Strawberry Daydream Refresher has oatmilk and Chocolate Cold Foam. Meanwhile, the Blush Spritz Refresher tops the refresher with sparkling water.

For coffee fans, the Toxic Ex-Presso Cloud Latte could be a fit for you with espresso,mocha swirl, raspberry flavor and Chocolate Cold Foam. The Sweet On You Cloud Latte is another espresso-based drink but this one has whole milk, caramel swirl, coconut flavor and Sweet Cold Foam.

Last but not least are the two tea-based limited-time beverages. The Perfect Matcha, which mixes matcha green tea with whole milk and tops it with Sweet Cold Foam, and Buff Chai, which adds Chai syrup to Protein Milk. The latter is available hot or iced and has 15 grams of protein in a medium size.

Dairy Queen has its own Valentine’s Day sweets.

DQ’s Red Velvet Cake Blizzard Treat, which blends red velvet cake pieces with cream cheese icing and vanilla soft serve, and Valentine’s-themed cupcakes are back this week, first becoming available on Monday, Jan. 26.

The Valentine’s Cupcakes are a mini take on DQ’s classic Fudge and Crunch Cakes, featuring layers of vanilla and chocolate soft serve, fudge and crunchy chocolate pieces and topped with pink, red, or white frosting and finished with heart-shaped sprinkles.
