We didn’t hear much from IAN SWEET last year, and it looks like it’s because Jillian Medford was on some interesting side quests. The indie rocker co-wrote and co-starred with Kareem Rahma, aka the Subway Takes guy, in a MUBI feature film called Or Something. For it, IAN SWEET transformed Third Eye Blind’s 1997 hit “Semi-Charmed Life” into a brief, wispy daydream. What is Or Something about, you ask? Here’s the synopsis:
Or Something is about two strangers who show up at the same Brooklyn apartment to collect cash they’re both owed. Forced to spend the day together on a journey through New York City to find the promised money, the pair begin to open up to one another and reveal intimate details about their lives.
