Kylie Jenner Reacts to Jordyn Woods’ Engagement to Karl-Anthony Towns

Kylie Jenner is sharing her reaction to Jordyn Woods’ recent engagement to Karl-Anthony Towns.

The Kardashians star, 28, dropped a sweet comment on Woods’ Instagram post shared on Thursday, Dec. 25, announcing her engagement to the 30-year-old NBA star.

“jordyyyyyyy 🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹,” Jenner wrote in response to the carousel of photos showing the couple getting engaged at a rooftop bar in New York City. The comment received over 14,000 likes within 24 hours. 

She joined several other stars in offering their congratulations to the couple, including Angel Reese, Chloe Bailey and Simone Biles. Bella Hadid also wrote, “OMG!!! Congrats sweet girl!!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.”

Towns and Woods, who have been dating for five years, announced the news in a joint post alongside photos showing Towns, in a suede coat and black pants, getting down on one knee. An excited Woods, in a white fuzzy coat with a white dress underneath, could be seen gasping in shock before smiling in celebration.

“Marry Christmas 🎄❤️💍,” the pair captioned the photo.

Jenner and Woods have been friends since 2012 and built a close bond over the years, with Woods even making appearances on Keeping Up with the Kardashians from time to time. 

However, the pair had a public falling out in February 2019 after reports surfaced that Woods had allegedly hooked up with Tristan Thompson, the father of Khloé Kardashian‘s daughter True. Woods denied the allegations but admitted that they shared a kiss at an afterparty at his house and revealed that she failed to disclose what had happened between them the next day.

Weeks after the incident, a source told PEOPLE that Jenner and Woods were “working on rebuilding their friendship,” with the source adding, “Kylie has had a very hard time moving on from their friendship.”

Sources have confirmed that Jenner and Woods have reunited in the years that followed, but they weren’t seen publicly together until July 2023. The duo have since been spending time together over the past year, away from cameras, as they’ve worked on rebuilding their friendship.

“Jordyn reached out to Kylie to apologize for how everything went down and let her know that she loves her,” the source said, referring to the pals’ very public fallout.

A source told PEOPLE that “Kylie was devastated at first” following their fallout as “Jordyn was her confidant for so long.” The insider added, “When Kylie was hiding her pregnancy from the world, Jordyn spent almost every day with her.”
