In the spring of 2024, the world-renowned jam band Phish became one of the first musical acts to play a residency at Sphere Las Vegas, the high-tech Vegas venue owned by New York Knicks owner James Dolan. The Price Is Right host Drew Carey went to one of those gigs, and he was so enthralled by the psychedelic spectacle that he said he’d be willing to stick his penis in a blender for the privilege of attending another one. The band responded in the only appropriate way: by sending Carey the appliance in question.
Good news for Carey and other Phish phans of means: The band has announced its grand return to the Sphere for 2026. This coming spring, Trey Anastasio and friends will play nine gigs at the immersive venue, playing Thursday-Saturday runs three weekends in a row: April 16-18, April 23-25, and April 30-May 2. A ticket request period is underway at Phish’s ticketing portal and will continue through 9 a.m. PT this coming Monday, Dec. 8. Any tickets remaining after the presale will go on sale to the general public starting Friday, Dec. 12 at 11 a.m. PT. Phish are also selling travel packages starting this Wednesday, Dec. 3 at 10 a.m. PT.
It seems like Drew Carey might actually be able to repeat his Phish Sphere experience without mutilating his genitals, but I guess we’ll see what the band requires of him when he rolls up to the entrance.
