Lorde, the xx and Turnstile will headline the seventh Kilby Block Party, which will return to the Utah State Fairpark in Salt Lake City from May 15-17. Tickets go on sale tomorrow (Nov. 19), with the lowest-priced early bird options expected to go clean very quickly.
Kilby Block Party will feature an undercard loaded with indie and alternative favorites, including Paramore’s Hayley Williams, Modest Mouse, Alex G, Blood Orange, Father John Misty, Japanese Breakfast, Lucy Dacus and Magdalena Bay. Also appearing are American Football, Grandaddy, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Hannah Cohen, Kevin Morby and Show Me the Body.
For Lorde, Kilby Block Party will be her first North American festival appearance in more than three years. Similarly, the xx have not performed in any capacity since 2018, while Turnstile, which recently scored five Grammy nominations, have never before co-headlined such a high-profile event.
Local promoters S&S Presents will once again expand the event’s footprint within the fairgrounds, including the utilization of Days of ‘47 Arena for a smaller stage and reorienting other stages to cut down on sound bleed. Fans can also take in the Crusher Cup skateboarding competition presented by Skullcandy and check out evening shows from festival acts in such local venues as Kilby Court, Urban Lounge and Metro Music Hall.
