Caroline Vidmar is engaged!
The Survivor season 47 Castaway contestant announced her engagement to her boyfriend Austin, showing off their romantic picnic proposal in a sweet recap shared to social media on Wednesday, Nov. 5.
“It’s always been you,” her caption began as she added a single red heart emoji.
“Feeling so lucky to spend forever with someone as spectacular, thoughtful, loving, brilliant, and all-around wonderful as you, Austin,” Vidmar continued.
Her carousel included nine pictures, including the couple smiling as they sat on a picnic blanket for a daytime photo-op outdoors.
Their backdrop was filled with green grass, lush plants and views of a distant coastline. The reality television alum held up her hand to debut her diamond ring while sitting beside her fiancé.
She wore a strapless, flowy orange dress for the special occasion.
Other pictures documented the moment Austin got down on one knee to pop the question. An arch adorned in white floral arrangements was behind them.
The two appeared overjoyed as they embraced each other and celebrated with glasses of champagne.
Austin lifted his bride-to-be in the air and spun her around before the photographer caught the couple sharing a kiss. She ended the post with a close-up shot of her engagement ring as Austin gently held her hand.
Survivor alums like Teeny Chill, who also competed on season 47 with Vidmar, wished them well, writing, “The sweethearts 😭😭I love u guys.”
Andy Rueda added, “Beautiful photos, congrats.” Adam Klein, the Sole Survivor of Survivor: Millennials vs. Gen X, was also one of many from the franchise who joined in, commenting, “Congratulations to you both!!!! So excited for you!!”
Rachel LaMont, who won Survivor season 47 and its $1 million dollar prize, left a series of congratulatory emojis under her former castmate’s post.

Their season’s final episode aired on Dec. 18, 2024, with Rachel, Sam, Sue and Teeny as the four who made it to Sole Survivor status.
Vidmar was 27 years old when the show aired. The Palos Verdes, Calif. native was residing in Chicago, and voted off on the Dec. 4 episode (Merged Beka Tribe; Formerly Tuku).
Since then, her adventures have looked a bit different than braving the wild in Fiji.

However, Vidmar still spends time with her Survivor crew, as shown in a May 9 Instagram post when she was joined by castmates Sue and Genevieve Mushaluk as they spent the evening with Canada’s ice hockey team, the Winnipeg Jets.
“From Fiji to the WHITEOUT 🏝️ ❄️It’s a SUEnami with the t-shirt cannon!” the organization captioned the fun video of the ladies dancing together at the game while hyping up the fans.
