The 22-year-old Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback and his wife Leanna Lenee have welcomed a baby boy. The proud parents shared the news in a YouTube announcement titled “Dear Son…” on Wednesday, Aug. 27.

In the clip, which is just under three minutes long, Hunter and Lenee are first seen in a bathroom together. He uses a handheld camcorder to film them from the mirror as she wraps a curling iron while primping her hair.

Seconds later, she holds a Clearblue pregnancy test, asking, “Wait, is it going?” as the results load.

They both do a happy dance as Lenee records.

“There’s the baby,” she says next, filming a print out of her ultrasound. A sign that reads, “It’s a boy” is up next in the compilation.

Prior to the couple learning the gender of their baby, Lenee had a dream that they would welcome a boy “with lots and lots of curly hair.” She recorded the dream in the notes section of her iPhone on Feb. 28.

“Today is March 26, and this was the dream I had Feb. 28,” she said in the video. “I knew it was gonna be a boy. So cool.”

Other moments in the announcement included the couple going about their day-to-day routine, such as Hunter brushing his teeth as Lenee recorded him, telling him to “say hi to the baby.”

Her behind-the-scenes footage also included finding out where the former Heisman Trophy winner would be drafted after his college career.

After he was drafted, Hunter smiled as he shared his hopes that his son would grow up “and be like me and you ‘gon get drafted to Jacksonville.”

Lenee asked her husband if he had a message for their unborn child, to which he responded: “You gotta be better than me.”

Before sharing moments from the delivery room, there were two clips of Lenee focusing the camera on her growing baby bump.

After footage of her in a hospital bed, it was time for her to push. The video went dark as the audio continued to play. Nurses were heard coaching her through the delivery process.

The newborn’s cries became audible as Hunter said, “That baby look just like me!” followed by laughter from all in the room.

“You did good,” he said as the video ended.

Hunter and Lenee married at The Barn at Faith Farms on May 24 in Tennessee. They did not publicly share that they were expecting their first baby.

Prior to their wedding, the couple faced backlash when fans criticized her behavior on social media after the Kennesaw State University alum seemingly had a bad attitude while Hunter posed with his fans at an event.

Others questioned her intentions with the standout college athlete, which led him to publicly defend her online.

“Y’all hate on me and then y’all go hate on my girl. I feel the same pain that she feel,” Hunter said in a December 2024 Twitch video. “We’re unseperable [sic], we’re with each other. If she hurting, of course I’m going to be hurting.”
