TikTok Adds Scheduling Options in Post Composer

TikTok has added another way to schedule content, with creators now able to select a date and time to post within the post composer in the app.

As you can see in this example, posted by app researcher Radu Oncescu,  the latest version of TikTok includes “Schedule post” option within your creation options, so you can select a time and date to post your update directly in the app.

That could make it easier to map out your content, and ensure that you’re reaching your audience at optimal times.

To be clear, TikTok already offers several post scheduling options, including its TikTok Studio management tool, its video scheduler, and via various third-party options. So functionally this isn’t a major addition, but again, for convenience, and for ease of management, it could be handy to have full scheduling capacity within the app itself, giving you another means to plan and prepare your TikTok content approach.

I mean, in some ways, the algorithm probably does the work for you in this respect, in presenting your content to users when they’re most active. The evolution of systematic understanding in this respect has probably lessened the value of scheduling, but even so, there is value in planning out your posts to go live at the exact times you want.

You can also check in on when your audience is most active via TikTok Studio analytics, and in combination, this could be another element to consider in your approach.

And now, you’ll be able to schedule your posts for just the right time direct in the composer.

A small, but potentially valuable update.
